Continue reading to learn more about the efforts we are taking to ensure everyone has a great festival experience.
Resort Grounds
Resort sites are generally flat and consist of a mixture of surfaces, such as dirt/sand paths, grass, and blacktop/concrete.
As with any outdoor sporting events, rain and other weather can impact the conditions – please exercise care at all times. Distances between areas in and around the Pickleball court can vary, so it is important that you wear appropriate footwear.
The Destination Pickleball team can assist patrons with disabilities with mobility around the resort.
Please submit your inquiry via the Request Accommodation form below.
Transportation
In order to guarantee reasonable and appropriate accommodations for our disabled patrons, we need sufficient time to coordinate. For international travel events, ADA requests related to resort transport to and from the airport must be requested no later than 2 weeks prior to the date of arrival. Any requests received less than 2 weeks before such date cannot be guaranteed.
Prescription Medicines
Prescriptions must have a prescription label and matching photo ID. For the safety of our staff and patrons, please dispose of all medical waste/syringes in the proper receptacles in our medical tents. Guests needing a refrigerated or cool location to store their medicines can submit an inquiry via the Request Accommodation form below.
Customer Service
Customer service is one place where guests with disabilities can get information and request services on resort grounds.
Powered Mobility Devices
Motorized wheelchairs and three- or four-wheeled scooters are permitted at the resorts. For safety reasons, guests may NOT use personal golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, two-wheeled scooters, or motorbikes, either in the venue itself or in the parking areas.

Service Animals
Destination Pickleball welcomes and supports the rights and attendance of all persons with disabilities that rely on the special skills of a trained service animal. What we DO NOT support, and will not tolerate, are pets being misrepresented by their owners as service animals. Please leave your pet at home.
Service Animal Definition
A ‘service animal’ is defined as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the handler’s disability.”
Emotional support or comfort animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and therefore are not allowed at Destination Pickleball events.
Please note that all service dogs, including those from out of state, are subject to local dog ordinances, which include a valid rabies certificate.
Service Animal Policies
For patrons with disabilities who wish to bring their legitimate service animal to Destination Pickleball events, Destination Pickleball asks that you review and follow the policies outlined below:
-
Service animals must be accompanied by the handler with the disability at all times.
-
Service animals must be under the control and supervision of their handler at all times.
-
Service animals are not permitted to be left unattended under any circumstances.
-
Handlers are required to be prepared for and clean up after, their animals at all times.
-
We reserve the right to remove and/or refuse access to any service animal from the campgrounds or venue if that animal is deemed to be a health or safety threat to festival patrons, staff, or other service animals, or in violation of these policies.
-
All service animals must be credentialed by the Destination Pickleball staff (see Service Animal Procedures).
Service Animal Procedures
All patrons with disabilities attending Destination Pickleball events with a service animal will need to have that animal credentialed by Destination Pickleball staff through the check-in process. This process will be performed quickly and respectfully by Accessibility Staff.
Upon arrival at Destination Pickleball events, go directly to the resort’s front desk. Staff will speak with you, record your contact information, and provide a credential for your service animal. Security/Staff will be on the lookout for all animals to have a properly credentialed Destination Pickleball collar tag.
Remember, service animals are allowed, all other pets are not!
