Why Durham, Why Now
Durham has 30+ pickleball courts and no one organizing them into a real community. DAPP does great work. The city runs programs. But there’s no one stitching it all together — running events people actually look forward to, building a player base that sees the same faces, creating the kind of energy that makes you rearrange your Tuesday for open play.
That’s what Rachael does. Her players don’t just take lessons — they play open play, join leagues, enter tournaments, show up to social events, and bring their friends. The average player she coaches participates 55 times and spends over $600 a year on pickleball. Not because she’s selling them anything, but because she makes the sport sticky.
Who This Is For
You play pickleball already and you’re tired of showing up to random courts hoping for a good game. Or you’ve been meaning to start and you want someone to actually teach you instead of just handing you a paddle. Or you played somewhere else, moved to Durham, and haven’t found your people yet.
All levels. All ages. The only thing we care about is that you want to play.
